Greenville children fill Christmas shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse

The children of White Oak Day School in Greenville filled 137 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child through the ministry of Samaritan’s Purse.

Mora Vernon, the school’s director, encouraged the children to emulate the folks of White Oak Baptist Church by participating. “A wonderful lesson in the joy of giving will be felt in the hearts of these children as they reach across the world to bring joyful smiles to boys and girls,” said Vernon.

Roger Saunders, acting pastor, had a special prayer of dedication for the shoeboxes and prayed for the children who would be receiving the shoeboxes.
