Lawton and Dawn Neely have been named chaplains at Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Community in Laurens, succeeding Russell Dean, who retired last April. The Neelys have lived at Martha Franks since 2014. Lawton earned a master of music from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, a master of divinity from Gardner-Webb University’s School of Divinity, and a doctor of ministry from Erskine Theological Seminary. Dawn holds a master of counseling and a master of supervision and administration from Gardner-Webb University.
