Moriah Baptist Association has established the John and Barbara Platt Endowment fund to honor the late couple and provide ongoing financial support for missions work in the association and around the world.

Platt was the first director of missions for Moriah Association, serving from 1980-1995. He later was director of missions for Columbia-Metro Association. Before his work with Baptist associations, he was a pastor, serving churches in Dalzell, Laurens and Charleston.

Gifts to the endowment, which will be administered by the Baptist Foundation of South Carolina, may be sent to Moriah Baptist Association, 914 West Meeting St., Lancaster, S.C., 29720.
