George Jefferson White, 84, of Anderson, a retired minister, died Oct. 16, 2016.
Born in Columbus, Ga., he was a graduate of Trinity Bible College and Georgetown College. He attended Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and earned a Th.M. degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
He pastored churches for 50 years in Kentucky, Indiana, Georgia, Louisiana and New Jersey before retiring to Anderson. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Naomi Ruth Corts White, two daughters and four grandchildren.
