Charles Edward Castles, 66, of Amelia, Ohio, died Dec. 24, 2016.

He grew up in Greenville and earned a B.S. degree from the University of South Carolina and an M.Div. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He pastored Calvary Baptist Church in Moncks Corner and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Walterboro. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Johns Island at the time of his death.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Debra “Debbie” Lynn Castles, four children and two grandchildren.
