Committee seeking next Connie Maxwell Children’s Home president

Connie Maxwell Children’s Home has formed a presidential search committee and will be accepting applications until May 5.

The next president of Connie Maxwell Children’s Home will succeed Randy Harling, who resigned in October 2016. James Wright, former chief financial officer for the South Carolina Baptist Convention, has served as interim president since November 2016 and will continue until a new president is chosen.

The search committee, comprised of Connie Maxwell board members, held its first meeting April 14, with B.M. Cave of West Columbia presiding as chairman. Other members include Richard Lackey of Orangeburg, Leslie Taylor of West Columbia, and Brenda Tucker of Rock Hill. Interim president Wright will serve as an ex-officio member of the committee.
