Roger Dale Cox, 67, of Florence, died March 28, 2017.

A native of Kingstree, he graduated from Newberry College, Winthrop College and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He taught in public schools across South Carolina and served as headmaster at Andrews Christian School.

He was pastor of churches in Georgia, Texas and Virginia, and was an associate pastor at Bethea Baptist Church until 2010. He also served as activities director and choir director for the Bethea Singers and was a member of the South Carolina Baptist Singing Churchmen.

Survivors include his wife, Louella Hinkle Cox, and a son.
