Boyd V. Broad Sr., of Charleston, died Dec. 29, 2017.

He retired after serving 27 years as pastor of Wando Woods Baptist Church. In retirement, he served interim pastorates in several Charleston-area churches. He was an active member of Charleston Baptist Association and the South Carolina Baptist Convention.

Survivors include his wife, Angie Broad, three children and several grandchildren.
