Kenneth W. Garvin, 67, of Graniteville, died Dec. 16, 2017.

Born in Augusta, Ga., he was a graduate of Anderson College and USC-Aiken and earned a master of divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

In South Carolina, he pastored Marion Street Baptist Church in Aiken and Langley First Baptist Church. He also served churches in Texas and Georgia.

He was active in denominational life, having served on Baptist committees at the state and national levels.

Survivors include his wife, Robin Reames Garvin, a daughter and four grandsons.
