Shiloh Baptist Church, Marietta, recognized Eddie Capps on March 18 for 20 years of service as pastor. Capps has the longest tenure of the 23 pastors who have served at Shiloh, which was founded in 1915.

A plaque was presented to Capps and his wife, Joanne, and a churchwide meal was held in their honor after the morning service. The church baptized 197 people during his 20-year ministry.
