Harold Norman Kirkland, 87, of Sumter, died Sept. 27, 2018. 

Born in Allendale County, he was a graduate of Furman University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. His pastorates included First Baptist Church of Wagener and First Baptist Church of Sumter.

Survivors include his wife, Uldine Shockley Kirkland, three children and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son.
