Thomas “Spencer” LeGrand Sr., 84, of Greenville, died Sept. 25, 2018.

A native of Lee County, he was a graduate of Furman University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as a pastor in North Carolina and Virginia before being called to East Park Baptist Church in Greenville, where the majority of his ministry was served. After retirement, he served as director of the Eastside Crisis Center, which he started as a food ministry in the early 1980s.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Ann Balentine LeGrand, two children and five grandchildren.
