Carl Vernon Mullinax, 88, of Gaffney, died March 5, 2020.

Born in Gaffney, he retired from the textile industry and served at several South Carolina Baptist churches, including Bowling Green Baptist Church in Clover. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War.

Survivors include three sons, six grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Louise Painter Mullinax; a son, Jeffery Carl Mullinax; and a granddaughter, Sara Jan Mullinax.
