Connie Maxwell calls Boyd to lead strategic initiatives

Connie Maxwell Children’s Home has called Jay Boyd as the new vice president for strategic initiatives. He will lead fundraising efforts and other duties related to the strategic plan of the institution.

Boyd served as director of development for the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home. He has an MA degree in leadership from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a bachelor’s degree from Samford University. He is currently enrolled as an MBA student at Samford’s Brock School of Business.

He grew up around the Florida Baptist Children’s Home, where his mother led institutional advancement for more than 20 years while his father served as a youth pastor.

An avid hunter and outdoorsman, he and his wife, Lauren, have two children, Brayden and Isabella.

Connie Maxwell president Danny Nicholson said, “Jay will bring energy, enthusiasm and longtime experience to the table as we build a foundation to increase support, execute our dreams and plan a future campaign to fund those dreams for children and families.”
