Jennings Putnam, of Inman, died Aug. 31, 2020 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
A member of the South Carolina National Guard, he was a graduate of North Greenville College, Mid-Atlantic Bible College, and Mid-Atlantic Seminary. During his 40 years in the ministry, he served as pastor of the following Baptist churches: Durbin Creek, Fountain Inn; Piney Forest, Andrews; Flint Ridge, Heath Springs; Peach Valley, Spartanburg; and Arcadia First, Spartanburg. At the time of his death, he was pastor of Calvary Christian Fellowship, which he founded in 2000.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Susan Taylor Putnam, two daughters and nine grandchildren.
