Edwin H. Bolton, 92, of Spartanburg, father-in-law of Spartanburg First Baptist pastor Don Wilton, died Sept. 16, 2020.

A native of Durban, South Africa, he studied at the Baptist Theological College of Southern Africa, and served as pastor of churches in South Africa, Louisiana and Mississippi. He also served as general secretary of the Leprosy Mission of Southern Africa. After moving to Upstate South Carolina 25 years ago, he served as interim pastor of West Springs, Buffalo, Holston Creek and Grace Baptist churches.
