Margaret Thompson, with the help of her Bible study group at First Baptist Church, Mauldin, made 565 jump ropes and 125 woven bracelets this year to be placed in the shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child of Samaritan’s Purse. Several of the women went to Boone on Dec. 15 to help pack the boxes for other countries. They also have made jump ropes for mission trips to Honduras, Guatemala, and Haiti.
