Fred DeFoor will retire from St. Andrews Baptist Church in Columbia on March 7 after serving for 34 years as associate pastor and minister of music. A native of Greenville, he is a graduate of Furman University and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. A former member of the South Carolina Baptist Singing Churchmen, DeFoor has directed youth and children’s music camps at White Oak Conference Center.
