Rush Limbaugh, voice of conservatism, dies

Rush Limbaugh, the bombastic radio host who shaped conservative politics for decades, died Feb. 17, 2021, after a battle with lung cancer. He was 70.

The radio show host appealed to many Christian conservatives. He was self-described as “the intellectual engine of the conservative movement.”

Limbaugh was a fierce critic of Democrats and political progressives. According to Talkers Magazine, which covers the industry, Limbaugh had the nation’s largest audience in 2019, with 15 million unique listeners weekly.
