Robert Beaman, 89, of Huntsville, Ala., and father of Gwen Hollingsworth (wife of SCBC Executive Director-Treasurer Gary Hollingsworth), died Dec. 14, 2022.

After serving in the military, he worked as an engineer at NASA for more than 37 years before retiring. He and his wife taught first-grade Sunday school together for 50 years, and he served as a deacon at Highlands Baptist Church in Huntsville.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Beaman, four children, nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
