BANNER ELK— The Trailblazers’ late rally came up short of victory on Wednesday night in a 2-1 loss to Lees-McRae at Tate Field. Finley Lloyd scored North Greenville’s first goal in the 73rd minute, but that was the team’s lone offensive production.
Lloyd produced half of the team’s shots on goal with four. The Bobcats recorded 11 shots on goal, but goalie Cadie Pendergrass saved nine of them, tied for her single-game high this season.
North Greenville (0-5-1, 0-2-1) will continue conference play against Erskine at home on Saturday at 5 p.m.

MILLEDGEVILLE—The Trojans were shut out for the first time since the season opener on Wednesday night at Bobcat Field. Goalie Aliyah Morgan faced eight shots and allowed only two. She owns a .848 save percentage on 33 opportunities this season.
Anderson (4-2, 0-0) recorded four shots on goal but was unable to sneak one past the Bobcats’ goalie. The Trojans will face Carson-Newman at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
