Current pastor Sammy Godfrey led the centennial celebration service. State Rep. Mark Willis presented the church with a proclamation honoring the church’s impact in its community.
H.L. Baggott was the first pastor of the congregation when it was founded in September 1912. Fifteen pastors have served the church during its history; Henry Rogers served as pastor for 27 years.
A new church history was unveiled to mark the 100th anniversary.
