On Feb. 21, Kimmett Lott, pastor of Providence Baptist Church, St. Matthews, representing a group of churches in Orangeburg-Calhoun Association, presented the keys to a 2001 Chevy S-10 to Jim and Grace Davis, missionaries to Oceania, W.Va.
The $4,000 purchase price for the truck was raised by churches in Orangeburg-Calhoun Association, including Fellowship, Gethsemane, Providence, Four Holes, and other churches.
The Davises lead Harbor Lights Ministry to point children and their families to a greater knowledge of Christ. The Orangeburg natives have been missionaries since 2002. They will use the truck to deliver groceries from their church’s food pantry.
