
ANSEL NORRIS, pastor of Little Mountain Baptist Church, Wellford, has announced his retirement to be effective Sept. 24. He has served Little Mountain for 21 years. He was ordained to the ministry by Pelham First Baptist Church, Greer. During his 42 years of ministry, he has been pastor of five South Carolina Baptist churches: Fork Shoals Mill, Fountain Inn; First Baptist, Reidville; Southern Bleachery, Taylors; Long Branch, Sumter; and Little Mountain, Wellford. He has also served on the Executive Board of the South Carolina Baptist Convention. Norris is a graduate of Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute, Anderson University, and Luther Rice Seminary. He and his wife Betty plan to continue to live in Lyman.
JEREMY BEAUFORD was called as youth pastor of Calvary First Baptist Church, Greenville, June 4. A graduate of Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute, he currently is attending North Greenville University, majoring in Christian studies.

CHARLES SCOTT CANNON has been called as senior pastor of First Baptist Church, Travelers Rest. A graduate of Southeastern Baptist Seminary, and Southeastern College at Wake Forest, he previously served as minister of families and education at Poplar Springs Baptist Church, Zebulon, N.C. Cannon and his wife Sonya have three daughters: Faith Nicole, Grace Lillian, and Kailey Hope. He will begin duties as pastor on July 9.

WESLEY SCOTT was ordained to the ministry April 30 by Tucapau Baptist Church, Startex. He is a graduate of North Greenville University, where he is currently employed. He and his wife Danielle teach the College and Careers Class at Tucapau.
SCOTT McCLELLAN is the new music minister at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Cowpens. A music major at Furman University, McClellan did advance studies through Southeastern Baptist Seminary’s extension program and has served churches since 1979. He and his wife Carol have two daughters, Melody and Grace.

BILL HORTON has been named full-time music director at Tucapau Baptist Church, Startex. Horton, who is employed by Paret Automotive in Duncan, and his wife Patricia are longtime members of Tucapau.

JASON MOSS began duties as pastor of Prater’s Creek Baptist Church, Pickens, in May. He previously served as pastor and associate pastor in churches in South Carolina and as minister of music in North Carolina, South Carolina and Maryland. He is a graduate of Anderson University and is completing a master of ministry from Covington Seminary. He and his wife Tina have two children, Noah and Hannah.
PAUL GOFF began pastoral duties June 1 at Wedgefield Baptist Church, Santee Association. He has been active in the church since 2003, serving as a deacon and as part-time youth minister. A graduate of Tabernacle Baptist Bible College in Greenville, he will be the church’s first full-time pastor. Goff and his wife, the former Sharon Kelley, have five children: Grant, Kyndal, Allie, Kolby and Lydia Grace.
