First Baptist Church, Columbia, will host the “19th Annual Carolina Celebration of Liberty” salute to the men and women from South Carolina who serve our country in the armed services.

Every branch of the military will be represented. All veterans will be honored, and a special tribute will be given to those who have given their lives in service to our country.
The event will be at First Baptist Church, July 2, at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Doors will open 45 minutes prior to each presentation. Admission is free, but a ticket is needed to enter. For tickets or more information, call (803) 217-3250.
The Fort Jackson 282nd Army Band and the All Star Brass Band, featuring students from area high schools, will perform patriotic favorites. Color guards from all branches of the armed services will present a salute to hundreds of war veterans.
The event features thousands of flags and balloons, as well as drama and music by the First Baptist choir and orchestra. Each presentation will culminate with indoor fireworks.
SCETV will broadcast the 19th Annual Carolina Celebration of Liberty statewide on July 4 at 9:30 p.m. on SCETV-Channel 35 and at 9:00 p.m. on the South Carolina Channel 802.
