A small church with only 10 members and several visitors needs help in finishing a building that was started 15 years ago. Hillcrest Baptist Church in Dalzell needs materials and manpower to complete a concrete-block building to be used for Sunday school rooms for adults and younger children.
Hillcrest Baptist needs windows, floors, interior walls, electricity, plumbing, ceiling and roofing for this building. Most of the members are senior citizens with health problems and cannot physically handle the demands of building, but the church can’t grow without more space.
Dalzell is about 10 miles on the Shaw Air Force side of Sumter. Three hundred families will be moving to this area of Shaw Air Force Base within the next year.
