More than 255 people, representing 27 area churches, attended an EPIC (Equipping People in Church) training event at Charleston Southern University Aug. 5. The event was sponsored by South Carolina Baptist Convention staff members. Belinda Jolley, director of the SCBC’s adult ministry group, and Ron Shearer, pastor of education and administration at Ashley River Baptist Church, Charleston, were among the session leaders.
