Hans Wunch

HANS WUNCH began duties Sept. 17 as pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Ware Shoals. Since 2002, he has been pastor of Doctor’s Creek Baptist Church, Walterboro. Prior to serving in Walterboro, he had served as youth minister in Virginia and North Carolina. He is a graduate of Charleston Southern University and Southeastern Baptist Seminary. He and his wife, the former Laurie Bartee, have two sons, Micaiah and Silas.

W.M. “BARNEY” TUTEN SR., pastor of Deep Branch Baptist Church, Varnville, was honored Aug. 27 for 25 years of service to the church. He and his wife Leah also celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary that day. They have three children and seven grandchildren.

Robert Miller

ROBERT MILLER assumed duties Aug. 20 as pastor of Clearview Baptist Church, North Spartan Baptist Association. He is a graduate of Casey Creek Bible Institute. He and his wife Ann have a daughter and two grandchildren.

Jay Wright

JAY WRIGHT has been called as associate pastor of youth and young adults by Inspiration Baptist Church, Rock Hill. He had previously served at several other South Carolina churches. Wright and his wife Candice have a daughter, Jadyn.

GEORGE KOON has been called as pastor of First Baptist Church, Gilbert. Most recently, Koon served as chaplain/evangelist based in Lakewood Camping Resort, Myrtle Beach, from December 2001 until early 2006. He and his wife Deborah have three adult children: Bryson, Allison and Carla.

JAMES HOLLIDAY is serving as pastor of Saint Johns Bethel Baptist Church, Moncks Corner. He comes to Saint Johns from Piney Grove Baptist, Lake View. Holliday attended Liberty University and Luther Rice Seminary. He and his wife Brenda have a daughter, Katie, 10.

Tommy Pillow

TOMMY PILLOW will begin duties Oct. 9 as pastor of State Street Baptist Church, Cayce. He is a graduate of Charleston Southern University and Southeastern Baptist Seminary, and has served as associate pastor of Millbrook Baptist Church, Aiken, for the past eight years. Pillow and his wife Traci have 7-month-old twins, Braden and Devon.
