After an outstanding performance by SONICFLOOd and Dalton, Charleston Southern University follows up by bringing in three more Christian groups. The tour is headlined by the sister trio BarlowGirl and features special guests Matthew West and Downhere.
Three sisters – Rebecca, Alyssa and Lauren Barlow – make up the band BarlowGirl. Hailing from Elgin (Chicago), Ill., BarlowGirl is three sisters from the Midwest, who are close to their family, stand firm in their beliefs, and are open enough to say they aren’t perfect and share their struggles transparently in order to grow. Matthew West was recently crowned one of the Top 10 Christian Songwriters in Billboard Magazine. West’s song “Only Grace” will be featured on the upcoming WOW Hits CD, his fourth time to be on a WOW compilation. Canada’s Downhere received six Covenant Award nominations from the Canadian Gospel Association and has also received several Dove Awards.
The “Do Not Conform Tour” comes to Charleston Southern Nov. 19 in the Lightsey Chapel Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale at CSUTickets.com.
