Richard Nix

Richard Nix began duties as part-time pastor at Hilltop Avenue Baptist Church, Greenville, Oct. 1. Previously, he was pastor of Hunts Memorial Baptist Church, Easley, and was chaplain with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office. He and his wife Sandra have two daughters, Missy and Sherri.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Vernon Craig

Vernon Craig has been called as pastor by Midway Baptist Church, Gaffney. Craig previously served Antioch Baptist Church, Blacksburg, for 21 years. He and his wife Karen have three children: Cliff, Michael and Katie.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Scott Griffith

Scott Griffith began duties Nov. 19 as pastor of First Baptist Church, Wagener. He comes to Wagener from Rome, Ga. He and his wife Betina have one son, Joel.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ted Hodges

Ted Hodges began serving Nov. 1 as pastor of Putman Baptist Church, Buffalo. He previously served at Fort Lawn Baptist Church, Fort Lawn. Hodges and his wife Dianne have four children: Ted Jr., Remmi Hines, Tabitha Greenleaf, and Rebekah Henson.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rocky Purvis

Donald “Rocky” Purvis has been called as senior pastor by Northside Baptist Church, West Columbia. His first service will be the candlelight Christmas Eve service. He previously was pastor of Downtown Baptist Church in Orlando, Fla. He and his wife Sherrie have four children. He is a native of Hartsville and the son of Donald Purvis Sr., who was pastor of Lakeview Baptist Church, Hartsville, for 34 years.
