Charleston Southern University hosted 3,500 teens this summer who positively impacted the Charleston region. MFuge is a LifeWay camp designed to teach students to serve.

“CSU is pleased to continue a partnership with MFuge — a partnership we launched in 2000 that has witnessed thousands of students sharing the love of Christ through service to local communities and organizations,” said Rick Brewer, vice president for student affairs and athletics at Charleston Southern.
“This partnership underscores CSU’s commitment to integrating faith in learning, leading and serving. MFuge participants remind our university family of the impact we can have as faithful followers of Christ taking his presence ‘unto the least of these.’ ”
The Charleston MFuge camp focused on projects in Charleston, Summerville, North Charleston and St. George in the following ministries:
• Children’s ministry (Vacation Bible Schools and day camps)
• Social ministry (including work with homeless shelters and food banks)
• Painting, construction and yard work ministry (working with local housing authorities)
• Sports ministry (sharing the gospel through sports in children’s centers and apartment complexes)
• Special-needs ministry (working with special-needs populations)
