NAMB appoints new missionaries in South Carolina

The North American Mission Board has appointed four new missionaries in South Carolina.

Wayne “Will” and Tarah Browning are serving in Summerville, where Will has been appointed as a church-planting missionary pastor. Prior to his new post, he served as associate pastor at First Baptist Church, Mount Washington, Ky.

A South Carolina native, Will attended Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, Ga., and received an M.Div. degree in missions, evangelism and church growth at Southern Baptist Seminary.

Tarah, a native of Florida, earned a B.S. degree in education at Georgia Southern University and an M.Ed. degree in guidance counseling at Western Kentucky University. She also attended Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, Ind. The Brownings have one son, Jedidiah.

Peter Copeland is serving in Conway, where he has been appointed as associate ministry/evangelism director. Prior to his new post, he served as camp pastor at Intracoastal Outreach Ministry, Myrtle Beach.

A native of South Carolina, Copeland earned a B.A. degree at Charleston Southern University. He also attended New Orleans and Southeastern Baptist seminaries, majoring in Christian education.
