Darrell Engle

DARRELL ENGLE was installed as bivocational pastor Jan. 21 by Cornerstone Baptist Church, Aiken. Larry Hughes, director of missions, Aiken Baptist Association, brought the installation message. Vickie Norris, Coni Sansom, and Burt Sansom provided music. Engle, who was called Dec. 31 following earlier duties as interim pastor, came to Cornerstone from Plum Branch Baptist Church, Edgefield Association. Bill Winn chaired the pastor search committee. Engle is a graduate of Bethel College and Covington Seminary. He and his wife Dianne have two children and seven grandchildren.

 

 

 

 

 

BRIAN HORTON was called Jan. 28 as pastor by Bush River Baptist Church, Newberry. A native of Boiling Springs, he is a graduate of USC-Upstate and Southern Baptist Seminary, where he is also pursuing a doctorate of ministry. He has served churches in South Carolina, Kentucky and Georgia. Horton and his wife Tara are expecting their first child.

 

 

WILLIAM CREWS was licensed to the ministry Feb. 18 by First Baptist Church, Fernandina Beach, Fla. Crews, a native of Yemassee and Pine Level Baptist Church, Grays, he is a graduate of Clemson University and is enrolled at Luther Rice Seminary. He and his wife Jane have two children.

 

 

Mike Runion

MIKE RUNION began duties Feb. 4 as pastor of City View First Baptist Church. Previously, he was pastor of Three Forks Baptist Church in Taylorsville, N.C., for nine years. He is a graduate of Southeastern Baptist Seminary, where he is pursuing a doctor of ministry degree. He and his wife Gail have three adult children and four grandchildren, with an additional three grandchildren expected in July.
