Rick Astle began duties March 5 as director of missions for Waccamaw Baptist Association in Conway.?
Rick AstleHe previously was director of missions of Columbus Baptist Association in Whiteville, N.C. He has also served several churches in North Carolina and Tennessee as senior pastor or staff associate.?
Author of the book “The Priority of Kingdom-focused Prayer,” Astle has spoken at or conducted prayer ministry and seminars throughout the United States for organizations such as the North American Mission Board, LifeWay Christian Resources, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and Campus Crusade for Christ.
He has served as president and vice president for the North Carolina Director of Missions Conference, and was a member of the executive committee of the General Board of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina.
A graduate of the University of Kentucky and Southern Seminary, Astle and his wife Donna have a son, John.
