I have read articles concerning prayer language or speaking in tongues in the Courier for more than a year now. May I ask, when will the body of Christ mature enough to walk in love with other members of the body? Our Pentecostal brothers and sisters in Christ are members of the body of Christ – if we can not love the body, how can we love the sinner?
Non-believers see us arguing about issues that have no eternal value and laugh at us. Why would they want anything we have when they see us Christians going after each other’s jugular over a gift of the Holy Spirit? This issue is so controversial. Why? I have had many questions concerning this gift and had to go to other denominations to get any answers.
Southern Baptists seem scared to even bring up the subject. Why? I do believe this is a tool that the enemy uses to divide the body – when will we wise up and be able to discern that this is a scheme by the enemy to keep us arguing with one another when we should be united.
When the body of Christ can come together and build one another up instead of tearing each other down, we will see the greatest revival that no eye has seen and no ear has heard! I, for one, will choose to love the body, the whole body – not just the members I understand or who are like me, but the entire body.
When Jesus comes back, he is coming back for a bride that is whole, nothing broken and nothing missing.
