I read with interest the article in the June 28 issue of the Courier about Parish Nursing ministries.
I am serving as manager of Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System’s Congregational Nursing Program for Spartanburg County. I represent approximately 45 registered nurses and 100-plus faith communities engaged in congregational nursing/health ministry programs in our area.
The article was very well written, and I would just like to add a few resources that might make it easier for anyone interested in knowing more to find folks in South Carolina to help (see below). There are a number of congregational nursing networks throughout the state (too numerous to list) but I will gladly refer anyone who may call for more information.
