Psalm 126:6 promises that “when we go forth reaping, we shall return with our sheaves.”

Pastor Bill Moseley baptizes Bobby, a young man who was led to the Lord during a recent mission trip to Kentucky by a group from Griffin Baptist Church.

A team of 15 people from Griffin Baptist Church near Pickens that went on a recent mission trip to Stanton, Ky., saw a fulfillment of this promise.

The Griffin team participated in evangelism efforts through visitation, Vacation Bible School, and revival services. They were also involved in a construction project, installing cabinets and countertops in the church kitchen.

A young man from Stanton, who helped in the construction work, almost immediately began to bond with the group.

“Bobby was not a Christian, even though he did come to church some. The group from Griffin began to pray for his salvation,” said pastor Bill Moseley.

The last night of the revival, Bobby accepted Christ. Everyone began to rejoice in the Lord, and many tears were shed.

The next night, Bobby was baptized by Moseley in a small creek behind the church.

When the group returned to Griffin, Bobby accepted an invitation to go with them. After spending a few days in the Griffin community, he decided to move there.
