Enoree Baptist Church, Newberry, celebrated its 245th anniversary and homecoming in August. Scott and Chad Cooper, sons of former pastor Frank Cooper, and their families were present for the celebration. Scott Cooper delivered the morning message in word and song. “If Scott’s singing did not stir your heart, then your heart will never be stirred,” said current pastor George Leagans. Also featured was spiritual music from the adult choir and special music from the children’s/youth choir, including one selection with sign language. The service was followed by a homecoming lunch in the fellowship hall.
