Bethea hosts lunch during S.C. Pastor’s Conference

Bethea Baptist Retirement Community is hosting a free lunch for pastors attending the 2007 South Carolina Baptist Pastor’s Conference Nov. 12 in nearby Florence.

The luncheon is a way to thank pastors “who serve our Lord and who have supported our ministry,” said Richard McLawhorn, president of South Carolina Baptist Ministries for the Aging.

Ben Maynard, chaplain at Bethea and pastor of Bethea Baptist Church, will have 100 free tickets for the lunch, which he will hand out at the Pastor’s Conference. He will also have printed directions available. Any interested pastor may contact Maynard ahead of time by calling 1-877-393-2867.

“Also, we encourage messengers to the annual meeting to come by Bethea before or after the meeting in Florence, since Bethea is so close and many have never seen the campus,” McLawhorn said. He said campus tours can be arranged by visiting SCBMA’s booth at the Florence Civic Center or by calling Jamie Connor at 877-393-2867.
