Cayce First Baptist Church honored Pete and Ann Cassidy on Jan. 12 for 50 years of ministry. Cassidy has been serving as interim at Cayce First Baptist since April 2012. Over the past 50 years, he has pastored several Baptist churches in both North and South Carolina, including Westfield Creek, Chesterfield; Mt. Calvary, Dillon; Lucas Avenue, Laurens; and State Street, Cayce, where he retired in November 2005. Since retirement, he has served as interim at White Knoll, West Columbia, and most recently at Cayce First Baptist. The Cassidys, who are currently members of Columbia First Baptist Church, have two married sons, five grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
