On June 22, the members of Providence Baptist Church, Orangeburg-Calhoun Baptist Association, surprised pastor Kimmett Lott with a golf cart as a “token of their love and appreciation” for 19 years of service. Lott and a group of fellow church and association members had just returned from a mission trip to Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, when the congregation presented the gift, leaving pastor Lott “speechless for the first time ever.” After the excitement, he remarked, “You can never out-give God.”
