The men’s ministry of Unity Baptist Church, Starr, recently served lunch for the workers at a school construction site near the church. Pastor Lloyd Robison said that serving lunch at the job site gave the men’s ministry a new way to reach out to others with the gospel. New Testaments, gospel tracts and church brochures were distributed to every worker coming through for the lunch. The Starr/Iva Gideon Camp assisted in providing New Testaments (including Spanish translations) to all workers.

Now First Baptist is able to give more to missions, doubling, for example, its gifts to The Lord Cares food pantry and the free medical clinic. “With folks’ willingness like it has been, and people just understanding what needs to happen, and trusting God for the rest, we can do some impossible things,” pastor Ken Sandifer said.
