NGU’s Tinsley serving as Courier intern

Keisha Tinsley, a native of Laurens, will be serving as an intern this fall at The Baptist Courier.

Tinsley, who will turn 23 in November, is a senior at North Greenville University and will be fulfilling graduation requirements while contributing as a writer to the Courier. She plans on graduating in December. Her major is mass communication with an emphasis in print media.

She began writing in high school when placed in journalism during her sophomore year. From there, she went on to be opinion editor her junior year and co-editor her senior year of high school. Currently, Tinsley serves as the copy editor of NGU’s The Skyliner.

After college, she hopes to pursue a career in journalism. “Writing has always been a passion, and now I get to make it my job,” Tinsley said.

She is the daughter of Darlene and Jimmy Odom Sr. of Honea Path, and granddaughter of Jack and Betty Walker of Laurens. She is currently attending Springwell Church, Taylors.
