The WMU of Earle Street Baptist Church in Greenville sponsored its second “country fair” Sept. 14 at Gower Park to promote the annual Janie Chapman Offering for State Missions. The event included a dessert bake sale by the GAs of the church with proceeds going to the Chapman offering. Earle Street’s WMU set a goal of $1,500, and has raised more than $2,150, with additional donations expected. Enjoying the fair were assistant WMU director Joanne Cothran and Jill Pearce; and WMU director Blaun Bennett, Tammy Dowdy and Kathy Huggins.
