John ElmoreJOHN ELMORE has been called as pastor by First Baptist Church, Lancaster. He began his ministry Aug. 31. Elmore is a graduate of USC-Spartanburg and Southwestern Baptist Seminary, and is pursuing a doctor of ministry degree from Gordon-Conwell Seminary in Massachusetts. He previously served as pastor of First Baptist Church, Mount Vernon, Ga., and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Boyd, Tex. Elmore and his wife, the former Kay Johnson, have two children, J.C., 14, and Hannah, 10.
