Marion Thompson Hudgens, 90, of Greenville, a retired pastor who served a number of Upstate congregations during his ministry, died Nov. 6, 2008.
Born in Oconee County, he was a graduate of North Greenville College.
He served as pastor of the following churches in Pickens, Greenville and Oconee counties: Mission Arial and Arial Baptist churches in Easley, Eastside Baptist Church in Liberty, Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley, Laurel Baptist Church in Greenville, Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Walhalla, Scenic Heights Baptist Church in West Union, Walhalla Baptist Church, Shady Grove Baptist Church, and Judson Baptist Church in Greenville.
He was a member of Oak Crest Baptist Church in Greenville.
He was the husband of the late Ressie Mae Porter Hudgens for 68 years.
Survivors include two daughters, five grandsons and two great-grandchildren.
