EUREKA BAPTIST CHURCH, ANDERSON, was among 14 percent of the 45,000 Southern Baptist churches who met the “Cartersville Challenge” in giving to the 2007 Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. The award recognized Eureka for giving between $25 and $50 per capita based on the average Sunday morning worship attendance. Pastor Ron Fousek credits the strong mission-mindedness of the Eureka congregation for meeting this challenge. Cartersville Baptist Church, Cartersville, Ga., is where Lottie Moon accepted God’s call to step out of her comfort zone and take the gospel to the Chinese people.
