North Greenville University has announced five new trustees who will serve on its board. Trustees are appointed by the South Carolina Baptist Convention to serve a five-year term (2009-13).
James Black Jr. of Easley begins his fourth term on the board. Black, a retired independent insurance agent, and his wife Ann are members of Rock Springs Baptist Church, Easley.
David Charpia of Columbia is serving his first term. He is president of the South Carolina Midlands Ameris Bank in Columbia. He and his wife Tracye have two children and are members of First Baptist Church, Columbia.
Ronald Edwards of Greenville begins his fourth term. He has served as secretary and chairman. A retired attorney, he and his wife Missy are members of First Baptist Church, Taylors.
Todd Johnson of Campobello begins his first term. He is pastor of Walnut Hill Baptist Church, Campobello. He and his wife Michelle have three children.
Melvin Younts of Simpsonville begins his fourth term. He is a partner with the Younts, Alford, Brown & Goodson Law Firm in Fountain Inn. Younts and his wife Dollie are members of First Baptist Church, Fountain Inn.
