Former South Carolina pastor publishes novel

The Baptist Courier

Bill Taylor, a retired pastor who formerly served in South Carolina, has written a Christian novel, “From Riches to Rags and from Rags to Riches,” the story of Jimmy Anderson, a homeless man.

Taylor, now living in Wingate, N.C., served churches in South Carolina in the 1950s and early 1960s. His pastorates included Antioch Baptist, Camden; Gum Branch Baptist, Hartsville; and Southside Baptist, Sumter.

Johnny Hunt, pastor of Woodstock (Ga.) First Baptist Church and president of the Southern Baptist Convention, wrote in the foreword to Taylor’s book that it “speaks to the hearts” of readers.

“Riches” is available in bookstores and through xulonpress.com.
