South Carolina Campers on Mission complete some detail work on the winding staircase inside Pritchell Hall at Ridgecrest Conference Center.More than 30 South Carolina Baptist Campers on Mission capped off their annual spring rally by traveling to LifeWay’s Ridgecrest Conference Center near Asheville, where they helped spruce up the scenic mountain retreat.
At Ridgecrest, they painted the “Nibble Nook” ice cream shop and sections of Pritchell Hall and Spillman Auditorium.
At the group’s spring rally, held in April at James Island County Park near Charleston, Steve and Eugenia Grant were chosen the Outstanding Campers on Mission Couple of the Year. The Grants are from Sellers and are active in the community and church in Latta.
For the past four years, Steve has served as president and Eugenia as secretary of the South Carolina COM chapter. During that time, they have been involved in projects in Alaska, British Columbia, Key West, Mississippi, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri and Maine. Steve has also helped with several overseas disaster relief efforts.
Steve and Eugenia GrantIn June, the Grants will represent South Carolina Baptists at the national COM rally in Gillette, Wyo. Six other South Carolina couples will also attend the rally and will participate in mission projects in Wyoming, Montana and Canada.
